Wasserman Schultz Rejoins Congressional Equality Caucus as Vice Chair

Washington, DC – Today, the Congressional Equality Caucus formally announced that U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25)  will serve as a Vice Chair of the Congressional Equality Caucus during the 118th Congress. As a member since 2008, Wasserman Schultz proudly continues to champion the Caucus’ mission to promote equality for all people regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or sex characteristics.

“I am honored to rejoin the Congressional Equality Caucus as a Vice Chair this Congress and look forward to working with Chair Pocan and the Caucus Co-Chairs to ensure equal protection under the law for LGBTQ+ people in Florida and across the country,” said Rep. Wasserman Schultz.  “As Gov. Ron DeSantis and extremists Republicans in the Florida Legislature renew their crusade against LGBTQ+ individuals, I will proudly continue working to defeat hateful legislation and advance a pro-LGBTQ+ agenda in Congress. Now with 190 members in our Congressional Equality Caucus – our largest number of members – I know I have more amazing allies than ever to fight by my side.”
