Wasserman Schultz on Ted Deutch Not Seeking Re-Election
“I’m thrilled that the global Jewish community will soon have the tremendous leadership, advocacy, expertise and compassion of my dear friend and colleague, Ted Deutch. No one is more committed to strengthening the U.S.-Israel relationship and fighting the scourge of antisemitism than Ted. I treasure our work together and I’m proud of our accomplishments, from protecting the Everglades and our coastlines, to looking out for children, workers and seniors. No one worked harder for gun safety, or to help the Parkland community recover. All of his Palm Beach and Broward county constituents were extremely well served, and he will be sorely missed, at home and here in Congress. AJC is very fortunate, as are all of us, to have this dedicated passionate leader at their helm. I will miss my friend but take solace in knowing that he will pick up this critical mantle of leadership for Israel and the global Jewish diaspora.”
