Rep. Wasserman Schultz Statement on Tornado Hitting South Florida

Sunrise and Plantation, Fla. – A tornado with winds over 100 mph hit South Florida Tuesday night. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-20) released the following statement:

“My sympathies go out to all the residents in Sunrise and Plantation affected by last night’s tornado. While many homes have been damaged or destroyed, I am grateful that initial reports indicate no one was seriously injured or killed because of this natural disaster. My district staff is coordinating with local, state and federal emergency officials.
