Local Small Business Brings Jobs to South Florida

Rep. Wasserman Schultz highlights local business expansion over the past year

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Local job growth and business expansion is happening right here in South Florida and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-20) took time recently to get a closer look at how small businesses are boosting the economy and hiring more employees thanks in part to help from the Small Business Administration.

On Aug. 29, Rep. Wasserman Schultz met with Zalmi Duchman, the founder and CEO of The Fresh Diet, a business that has recently been named as part of the SBA 100, which features 100 small business all across America that have created at least 100 jobs since receiving SBA assistance.

Rep. Wasserman Schultz was joined at the event by Cassius Butts, the regional director of the Small Business Administration.
