(Sunrise, FL.) – Following news that she had, for a ninth time, been elected to represent South Florida in Congress, U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz issued the following statement:

The amazing turnout and overwhelming results show they also want someone who is committed to protecting Social Security and Medicare, and who will confront climate change and gun violence, while aggressively acting to alleviate the dire health and economic crisis facing our nation.
