Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC Endorses Debbie Wasserman Schultz Re-election
Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz today expressed gratitude to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC for its unanimous endorsement of her re-election in Florida’s 23rd Congressional district.
“It is an honor to have earned the endorsement of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC—a progressive voice in Congress and across the country for the Hispanic community. I am also proud to stand with South Florida’s Hispanic community fighting for equal opportunity and prosperity for all families to have the chance to reach the American Dream,” Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz said. “In Congress, I have voted for a progressive agenda for Hispanics including immigration reform, the DREAM Act, and efforts to help small minority businesses get ahead. I’ve also fought for quality and affordable health care, and good schools in every ZIP code for our kids.
Wasserman Schultz noted her support for President Obama’s Deferred Action for Child Arrivals (DACA) and Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents (DAPA) executive orders.
BOLD PAC applauded Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz for her leadership on issues important to the Hispanic community and singled her out for her work on behalf of the people of Venezuela who are suffering under the Socialist dictatorship of President Nicolás Maduro to destroy, undermine and sabotage the South American nation’s economy.
“Debbie is a fighter for America’s Hispanic families. She is on the frontlines to promote continued health, economic growth and prosperity for all families,” said Congressman Tony Cárdenas, Chairman of CHC BOLD PAC. “We’re proud to support Debbie Wasserman Schultz. From her work to keep South Florida safe from Zika to her efforts to promote human rights and dignity for all people, Debbie is a true friend of the Hispanic community and has earned re-election to Congress.”
